We are continuing our ‘Meet the Team’ series for the Assembly Rooms e-zine and this time it is the turn of our Production Manager, Ruari Cormack.

The Church Hill Theatre have teamed up with Goose Quizzes to host a series of fun filled evenings at the Theatre Bar.

Our third quiz will be hosted on Tuesday 7th June.

The night starts with a quiz packed with questions on the month's top stories from across the world as well as a trip down memory lane and the obligitory theatre related questions.

Teams, with some fantastically inventive names, have battled it out over the last two months for great prizes and achieved some top scores.

The evening then takes on a more musical theme with a live music act entertaining the guests. This months entertainment comes in the form of an open mic night. So if you are searching for a chance to entertain then get in touch.

Remember and like out Facebook page and let us know you are coming along.

Looking forward to another great night.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager, to drive and lead proactive sales for a range of high profile city centre venues including Assembly Rooms, Usher Hall, Church Hill Theatre and Ross Band Stand.

It's been a very busy few months with a number of inpsiring conferences taking place here at the Assembly Rooms. However 'We Are The Future', a global youth organisation, whose aim is to inspire and connect entrepreneurs across the world returned to the venue following a very successful event in November to host their 'Data Talent Scotland' Conference.

We grabbed a quick chat with Paul McMillan, event coordinator, after the event to find out a bit more about it and why the conference returned to the Assembly Rooms.

Our events team has, as ever, been staying up to date with the latest trends in the market to help you stage the best event possible. So every quarter we will look at a different aspect of conference and event management, give you our thoughts and a few tips to help your events shine.

We have an amazing team here at the Assembly Rooms all of whom we are very proud of. So we thought you should get to know them. Every quarter we will introduce you to another vital member of our team. First up is John-Paul Valentine.

Not that I want to speak to soon but the winter weather seems to be on its way out and spring is definitely in the air which means there are lots of great events to look forward to in the coming months. However I wanted to start with a bit of inspiration from Scottish Tourism Week...

Since 1797 the Assembly Rooms have played host to some of Edinburgh and Scotland’s most prestigious events. Britain has a number of fantastic cities that host a range of events but we believe Edinburgh events are simply the best.

We have compiled the top five reasons why Edinburgh and, and of course, Assembly Rooms, should be your next event or conference venue of choice.

As we close in on the end of 2015, I thought I might reflect on conference and events success following the Festival and look at the trends emerging for the New Year.

Link arms and join us as we stomp and skip into the 2016 with our Hogmanay Snow Ball ceilidh.
