Assembly Rooms Edinburgh was flooded with screaming fans this week as the X Factor judges descended on Edinburgh to film the second round of auditions for this year's show.
Crowds began arriving in the early hours, with some dedicated youngsters camping out all night to ensure they had a prime spot to meet their favourite judge. The famous four arrived one by one with the largest cheers reserved for returning judge, Cheryl Cole - although Simon Cowell, Mel B and Louis Walsh all got their fair share of applause as they entered, stopping to take selfies with the crowd!
There was a pair of pipers on hand to serenade the TV stars as they walked the red carpet - even playing Happy Birthday for Cheryl who was celebrating her 31st birthday in the capital.
Once inside the venue, the judges spent hours in our spectacular Music Hall listening to hopefuls from across Scotland sing their hearts out, vying for a spot in the final round of auditions.
General Manager of Assembly Rooms, Shona Clelland commented, 'We were so excited that The X Factor chose our venue to host the Scottish round of auditions. As well as welcoming the judges, it was fantastic to see so much Scottish talent coming through our doors. Good luck to all the performers who made it through to Boot Camp!"
The X Factor starts later this year. Make sure you tune in to see the Assembly Rooms take centre stage!
